For her work at Nuevo Amanecer, a farmworker housing complex in Woodburn, community organizer Carmen Ramirez will be honored with the Women of Achievement Award by the Oregon Commission for Women. She helped Floro Aguilar, a single father paralyzed in a car accident, get housing that accommodates his wheelchair.
